Good Morning Peeps!
This morning here in Nashville it is just cold....very cold. In fact it is so cold that the morning walk with my girls was very short lived. Which was ok by me! I was ready to get back inside my warm Haven.
The time this morning seems to be flying by so fast because I have had so many little projects going on before I got to my morning thoughts and my first cup of coffee. Now....I am all set....
My first thought is about how excited I am about my newest song "Living On Borrowed Time". Everytime I practice I can't wait to get to that song. In fact I have four songs I would like to play more regularly at Writers Nights. ( Who Am I, Living On Borrowed Time, Seasons Of The Sun, and Can't Stop My heart.) It's always challenging trying to play new songs when so many times people want to hear their favorites. Usually when playing out....at most you get to play 3 songs. Now imagine you have to pick three out of many plus try to squeeze in new ones along with favorites that Peeps really like! I try to balance it out by playing at least one of each. Honestly since I'm there to have fun and play the songs that my Peeps want to hear....it's a give in that it's not about me but about them. I of course want to play the songs everyone likes, because that's why they are there. Still the creative part of me gets a new song or two and is usually itching to get out there and play them.
I suppose that's why I created my Live From My Haven videos with me performing different songs! It gives me a chance to share even more songs (new and old) with all my Peeps. Plus it's just fun....lol.... I really enjoy doing that! Of course that is what counts in the end! Enjoying what you do and loving what your doing.
In the end....when it's all said and done Peeps.... the biggest reward of doing what you love whether it's for the passion of it, or for the financial benefit (career).... is that your doing what you love......it's not for the glory or riches....though it would be nice.... no....the reward is far much bigger than any monitary value can hold. It is inside of each us..... Complete satisfaction with no regrets and measurement of success that goes beyond any ruler... because we took a chance to get out there and Dared To Dream.
