Good Morning Peeps!
It is a rainy morning here in Nashville layered with slightly warmer temps. I must say that I am loving the peaceful sounds of raindrops falling outside my window. Along with drinking my first cup of hot Hazelnut coffee I feel the serenity and calmness with every drop that hits the ground in a rhythmic beat.
Last night I performed at Eddie Paul's Writers Night in a round with Brittany Mason and David Folsom at 404 Bar & Grill. I saw some familiar faces and lot's of new ones as well. This was actually my first time to play at this venue. Sound was awesome and the songwriters I heard absolutely rocked thier talents.I especially enjoyed the round I performed. Each of us had a unique sound that created a buffet and variety of music. Which is always a beautiful thing.
Tonight I will continue doing what I love to do at Mathew Snares Writer's Night Showcase at the Hotel Preston in a writers round with two very incredible ladies bursting with talent...Opal Justice and Brittany Mason. I can't wait for 8:00pm. I have to say it is always a privilege to share the stage with them. Honestly..... I am just as excited about hearing them as I am about performing myself. If any of my Peeps are in the nieghborhood...... you should really stop in and listen to this powerful round of women songwriters. Plus we would love to see you there.
While writing....I began remembering a short conversation about the bond between songwriters and thier guitar. i never really stopped to think about it, but I realized that through my musical Journey and many Adventures over the past 5 years.... me and my Taylor have written so many songs together and have performed in so many places whether it be in Venues or while traveling or taking short weekend excursions. We have written together songs about Faith, inspirations, Love, Dreams, changes, and so much more. Guess I never thought about how I have created a relationship with my guitar. Through good times and bad...my Taylor has been a part of it all.
Peeps...I can't help but think about life and all the Adventures being laid out to see in a timeline... and wondering what thing or things or even people were always consistant through it all. Most importantly I believe God was the most consistant in my Journey along with my family, my partener and my guitar. What about your timeline? Who or what would you see?
