Good Morning Peeps!
This early Friday morning here in Nashville the skyline is filled with bright colors as the sun is starting to rise. Which leads me to believe that this weekend is going to be beautiful. At least we are heading into the right direction.
Wednesday evening I had double performances happening. It was a night of music for sure! First stop was at Debi Champions Writers Night at the Commodore Grill. I shared the stage with a rockin duet called Cloverdayle and a country singer songwriter Greg Sawyer who 's songs seem to have a power and hook that stuck with you even after they were done playing. Thanks to Debi Champion for always being so encouraging and supportive with all of us songwriters.
Second stop was the Millenium Maxwell House for Lee Rascone's Writers Night. First of all Lee Rascone is the Baddest man in Nashville Town....his saying is always....you look bad....which is good! I had an awesome time performing in a round with 4 incredibly talented ladies who just so happen to be my friends (Kat Lee Jones, Opal Justice, Sandy Moyer, and Brittany Mason.... how lucky am I.... anyway I enjoyed every second on stage with these ladies.... each of them I met at different times and each of them has played a big part in my musical Journey and time had brought all of us together on one stage.... for me this was extra special. I love thier songs, thier energy and unique powerful individual characteristics. This is definitely a moment marked in my mind.
Peeps I love playing my songs and sharing them with everyone and I also love all the talant that surrounds me here in the Music City. Not to mention the people who host many of the Writers Venues where I perform who I have grown to know and love as well. I had to work and play two gigs in one evening....but the end result was endless gratitiude and pure excitement to have the privilage to be able to do all this.
Life has it's ups and downs....the trick is to find the positives of the ups and downs and owning them and carring them forward in all that we do. Just a little pocket of Silver Linings to share with all of you.
Peeps have an aweome Friday and I will catch you on the flipside!
