Good Morning Peeps!
It is a beautiful morning here in Nashville! In fact I opened one of my windows to let the fresh air flow into my Haven! Sitting here at my desk I can feel the slight breeze blowing in as I would take in several sipps of my hazelnut coffee. Let me tell you...between the mixture of the two....I am left feeling very calm, relaxed, and peaceful. I love mornings like this!
Yesterday I spent the latter part of the day with friends playing music into the evening. There was lots of laughter, songs, stories, and good food the whole time. Later as was leaving I was pondering on a conversation over a rosery that one of my Peeps was wearing. I said that I actually have one as well and it his a story of it's own. I have had it since I was 18yrs old and living in Springfield, Illinios at the time.
The story would require a whole nother blog to tell, but it was a moment in my life where life was not so easy and I literally was homeless trying to find a place to stay for a short time. There was a catholic family that took me in and the wife gave me a Rosery. Through the transitions of my life this rosery has stayed with me....even still to this day. At the time I didn't know the true meaning or use of the rosery....but I knew that it made me feel safe and gave me courage to move forward and somehow made me feel like everything would be just fine, and I always felt like angels were watching over me. Whenever I pick up this roserynow and hold it in my hands, I remember everything and can't help feeling today as I felt 27yrs ago. Safe, full of hope, courage, and that everything is gonna be alright. This time I know not only that Angels are watching over me, but the grace of God has been the light that led me through the darkest days and straight into the brightest and warmest of moments. Every step I have taken and every blessing I have recieved has been a gift beyond my own comprehension of why or how....but it is what it is and I am forever grateful.
We all have a story or stories to tell about our lives, moments that have come and gone but forever burn like a candle in the back of our minds. Never let those memories burn out, because the light of yesterday could be the very light that will help you get through today!
Peeps have an awesome Monday and I will catch you on the flipside!
