Good Morning Peeps!
This Saturday morning here in the Music City it is a cool one with wind and light rain. Still the great thing is that it is Saturday morning and this is my time to do whatever it is I need or want to do today! Ironically.....I am sitting here drinking my morning coffee and occasionally glancing out my window and the Bird Sanctuary is hopping with a bit of a bird frenzy going on. Guessing this change of weather isn't effecting their moods. On that same note....I'm thinking the same thing.....sure there is no sun.....the temp is cooler, the rain is trying to fall.....yet my mood and attitude remain shining brightly in tact! Days like this require a little Silver Lining of homemade sunshine. The light and warmth comes straight from inside of myself. Besides..... I have lots of projects to tackle today inside....so this will be the perfect time.
Yesterday I missed my morning thoughts only because I was so warn out from the day before. Thursday I was on the rode and heading to Memphis by 4:15am. Then when I arrived I joined up with several other volunteers for the Carmax Cares / Kaboom Playground Build for the Boys & Girls Club Of Memphis. We basically built from the ground up a community playground for the kids. With so many hands on deck we were able to wrap up at 2:30pm and have the Ribbon cutting ceremony. Then I made my way back to Nashville exhausted but feeling really good about being a part of a wonderful positive project that will help to make a difference for the kids in that Memphis community.
Right at this moment I am feeling finally rested and ready to get busy....not to mention I have a new song I am working on....the song isn't quite there yet, but when it is ready to be finished....it will happen. I would love to start laying down scratch tracks soon.
Peeps....the day is what we make it and the day is ours to live! Enjoy every second that comes your way and until next time! I will catch you on the flipside!
