Good Morning Peeps!
Saturday morning began bright and early at 4am for this girl. Crazy isn't it! I should be sleeping in a little later than normal, but I was on a mission to get to the gym and make up for two days lost and so that's what I did. Funny thing...I saw only one car in the parking lot as I pulled up. Laughing to myself....I was thinking...yep I'm the only crazy one to get up this early on a rainy Saturday morning here in Nashville to work out! Hey...that's alright! I felt really good afterwards.
While sitting here typing my morning thoughts I am running this week's music activities through my head. I feel like over all each moment I was out performing was a positive experience in every way. I was able to perform some older songs I haven't really played in awhile, I had the privilege of teaming up with other songwriter Peeps and experience hearing fuller sounds with my songs, I had a moment and reminder of how some of my songs need to be revamped, I had high energetic moments, low and challenging moments as well.....and I was able to hang out after my rounds to support and listen to how talented my music Peeps are and to realize how lucky I am to know them.
Being a part of the music community is always a treat and a blessing. Because the support and encouragement that exists among each of the musicians or songwriters is extremely genuine and to say the least priceless! I have been pretty fortunate to meet some of the most amazing Music Peeps during my Musical Adventures and Journey that is not even close to be over.
I had a few moments of doubt arise about my place or even talent as a singer songwriter occur....I am always reminded that it is a gift given and I have had many opportunities to share this gift. Quite honestly it's not about the money, it's not about the hype, but it's about the Love of Music. Every time I hit the stage with my songs....whether it be the best of nights or the most challenging of nights...I know that I am doing something I am very passionate about and lifts my spirits, my energy, and self worth. Most importantly I will know and feel rest assured for the rest of my Life that I took a chance on me and my Dreams. No matter where the road may lead!
In this cycle of Life that is forever turning and changing as we move along....there is always room for growth, for enlightenment, for inspiration, for Dreams, for mistakes, for lessons to be learned, and most definitely for Self realizations and major discoveries to be made as we travel down the paths that create the Journey that will tell the story of our lives.
Peeps have an awesome Saturday and remember to allow room for every possibility that Life can offer. Until next time....I will catch you on the flipside!
