Good Morning Peeps!
It is a calm Sunday morning here in Nashville. The sun is shining through the trees, but the light is bright and soft. Almost as if to say....I'm here and will brighten your day..... but slow and easy. Meanwhile.....Outside my Haven I hear nothing but the sounds if the birds flying in and out of the trees. No visitors yet in the Bird Sanctuary, but they will show up shortly I'm sure. Even Birds have a lazy day I guess. So I have been up since 4:30am but moving slowly and enjoying my morning Hazelnut coffee! Yeah....pretty much just taking in the moments of the morning.
Before I started typing my random thoughts...... I topped off the Bird feeder with more Bird seed, hoping to see some hungry winged guests show for their morning breakfast.
Sure enough as I was typing I heard the fluttering of wings outside my window.....Yep....there were four of the smaller birds feeding. It begins!!! Now I'm waiting for my favorite bird to arrive....the Woodpecker. Ah....I just heard the pecking noise on the top of the apt roof. Which means this rockin' cool bird will be flying down shortly. Yes....I just looked and he was already at the feeder. Now....that is just to awesome! Now....... seconds after...... two of the Mocking Blue Jays flew onto the fence and then to the ground looking for seed. Then a multi colored Cardinal showed up for the feast! Yep it is happening in my Bird Sanctuary right at this very moment. I definitely need a second Squirrel Proof(Almost Racoon Proof) Bird Feeder. I believe that I would get even more of a variety of birds. Indeed...... It's a perfect morning to be looking out my window! Counting my blessings for the view.
Sometimes it's just the little things that can kick start a positive perception of the day. The key is to be still and open your eyes, listen with your ears, and take in the moments as they arrive. Pretty much..... be present and aware of your surroundings and have an open heart to the simplicity of Life and to one of many reasons why Life is so Good!
Peeps have an awesome Sunday and I will catch you on the flipside!
