Good Morning Peeps!
This morning here in Nashville it is a rainy one! Still it somehow seems perfect for the moment! No complaints here! I just opened my window and grabbed my freshly brewed cup of Hazelnut coffee and sat down to ponder my morning thoughts.
Last night I stepped out to check out an open mic at a place called The Edge at the Four Seasons Sheraton Hotel. I had just recently seen a sign that said there was an open mic and decided to see what it was all about. When I arrived....pretty much I walked in and was asked to play right away! Apparently I was the first to show up. Which was pretty cool! Which gave me the oppurtunity to perform 5 of my original songs and then sit and listen to the other songwriters as they arrived. While sitting there I sent out a Facebook message to all of my songwriting Peeps to spread the word in case they wanted to join in the music festivities.
Right before I was getting ready to leave there was a response from one of my awesome Music Peeps..... Ceefor and she said that she was on the way! So....I stayed to wait for her. After her arrival she was telling me about another open mic she was heading to right after......called the Wild Wing Cafe in Franklin. Which was a hop skip and a jump from where we were at the moment. Thinking to myself....cool...another new Venue! So...yeah I was totally game for going to check it out!
So...when I arrived the place was packed and the sound was awesome. Right away I love the ora of this place! After finding my seat...I connected with the host Keith to sign up. Seemed I had arrived right at the cut off point. Which was actually pretty cool because when Ceefor arrived we both where the last ones to play....which rocked! Everyone there was so attentive to listening and the feedback afterwards was very encouraging and inspiring. Yes...to say the least I was glad I went! Another musical Adventure to add to the log!
One thing that comes to my mind about last night is that I love spontaneity and that it goes to show if you step out and experience new things or places....anything can happen. First you have to take that first step and do it! What an awesome reminder that the wheel of Life keeps on moving and leading me to even more new places and continues to add to my life Story! That simply Rocks!
