Good Morning Peeps!

Good Morning Peeps!

This morning here in Nashville I looked at my temperature gauge outside my window and it said it was 34 degrees cold. Still the sun is shining bright adding rays of warmth to the start of this wonderful Sunday morning. I will take it along with my toasty hot cup of Hazelnut coffee.

Yesterday was an awesome day as several of us attended Charlies Christmas Party and saw the faces of 38 children as they walked through the door. We started off with some Christmas music that me and another music Peep Buckey played as the children joined in with different pieces of hand instruments. We started with Feliz Navidad and ended with Santa Clause is coming to town. Then the Jolly old St. Nick appeared and they loved it. Every kid had their picture taken with Santa as each group rotated to different arts and crafts tables. Creating all kinds of fun Christmas art. Eventually they all sat down to some hot Pizza and sweet snacks. Then the ultimate moment that they all waited for happened...the gifts. Each received two big bags of goodies. Such as a new coat, awesome Tennis shoes, two toys, shirt, pants, and a pair of socks. When given the word they each jumped right into the bags pulling out their surprise gifts. Seems the majority of them were most excited about the warm winter coats they received and new shoes. That my Peeps was the most amazing heart grabbing thing.

After spending only three hours with them...I felt like the best gift I received in that moment was the time I was able to spend with each one of them playing games on the rug, singing songs, sharing our favorite things about Christmas and more. It was as genuine as it get folks. Then they all loaded back onto the bus with all their goodies from the day and they were gone. Charlies Christmas Party did it once again....brought smiles to their faces and a lot of warmth and love from people they don't even know to take home for this Christmas Season.

Peeps...I can't explain the feelings I felt because it runs so deep, but I can say this....it is moments like this that make me remember that we all are here for each other and can make a difference in someone else's life by giving what we can of ourselves. The reward returned fills the heart ten fold.

Peeps have an awesome Sunday and I will catch you on the flipside!
