Good Morning Peeps

Good Morning Peeps!

Here in the Music City it is a very windy day and the temp is 60 degrees with storms on the way followed by a cold front and possibly snow and temps in the 30's by tomorrow morning. Go figure...the one thing about Tennessee's weather is if you don't like it....stick around it will change. So... I will enjoy my hot cup of Hazelnut coffee and roll with the changes and embrace them as they come.

Last night was my church's Christmas Program and all of us in the choir gave all we had to sing songs of the meaning of Christmas and the birth of a child. It's hard to believe that we spent weeks working on the music and within an hour we were done. I have to say....I love that I was able to be a part of something so wonderful. Not to mention it is very humbling to sing with the choir, because I am in constant awareness that it is not about me or putting on a show. It goes much deeper than myself and is done as a group. Each of us have our places and parts to sings. Then all the parts come together creating a full arrangement of vocals that made the songs even more meaningful and powerful.

Now...I am a singer songwriter and my talents lay within the music and songs I create. I know when it comes to singing in a choir.....well that is a whole different ball of wax. That is OK...because it is because of the choir that I learned how to sing what I sing today...at least was one of the factors in my Musical Journey that helped me grow on so many different levels. Speaking of growing....while sitting in the choir loft I looked around at all the people in the congregation and found myself going back in time when my Musical Journey had begun the moment I walked through the doors of this wonderful and loving church. Really....at the time I didn't even know that these doors were going to open even more doors down the road. Guess God had his plan which was definitely way bigger than my own.

The Journey we all take is full of open roads that can be rough, winding, and long with some side roads. There will be many doors that will open along the way and many surprises that will take our breath away. Moments when you stop and reflect...wondering...how did I get here and mesmerized by the fact that you are doing something you love and never thought you would actually be doing it.

Nope... definitely not in this Lifetime....... but as fate or God would have it..... Life's changes will take you to places not foreseen and in situations or moments that will change who you are as a person and make you an even better person inside. simply by just walking your path and leaving the thought of anything is possible and change will happen as sure as the wind will blow.

Peeps have an awesome Saturday and remember your Silver Linings and let them flow.....until next time.... I will catch you on the flipside!
