Good Morning Peeps!
It is a cold Monday morning here in Nashville but the kick off for me has been awesome. Early am I found myself rolling out of bed with one thought. Go To The gym. So...that's what I did.
I was walking through the doors of Planet Fitness at 4!5am. Ready to get back on track where I left off before the holidays and before being sick. Yes...it was time to refocus on my physical fitness goals. Then 45 minutes later I was walking back into my wonderful warm Haven ready for that first cup of Hazelnut coffee.
Over the weekend I had a mix of responsibilities and opportunities to perform my music. Now...my favorite part was obviously getting out to perform and spend time with my Music Peeps, but I also knew that I needed to get my personal Life in order for the new week. Some self honey do lists of chores had to be done. Such as cooking meals, laundry, cleaning and so on and so fourth. One thing I also really wanted to do was spend time with my thoughts and ponder on my goals and things that I would like to achieve.
While cleaning I ran across my Fung Shauy Board full of cut out pics taken from magazines that symbolized my goals or aspirations that were glued to a board about 10 years ago when I was first began my inner self Journey and rediscovery of Who I Am inside and out. Spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. So...finding this little piece of treasure was right on time. Especially since I am finding myself once again rethinking and redefining my goals and aspirations. What is interesting about this find is that I was reminded of where I was when each picture was chosen for my board and now I can look back and see what all I have accomplished since that day. Which of course very quickly awakened my heart and opened my mind once again to sit down and throw out my aspirations or what I would like to achieve or where I would like to be later down the road.
Granted nothing is ever set in stone, but I can serve as a witness that if you put your dreams out there they can be achieved and the end result may not be exactly what you wanted but even better than you could have ever hoped or Dreamed it could be.
Now with that being said....with each Dream there is a responsibility. The responsibility of selflessly paying it forward, the responsibility of making a positive difference in the lives that surround you, and the responsibility to be a positive role model to many people who follow or support you. I for one always keep this in the forefront of my mind because I had many people in my life who selflessly served as role models for me. Encouraging and supporting me every step of the way. I have learned that I have a voice and must share it to help others grow and not to belittle or use in a negative way. Help shine a light of hope from the light that was shared with me. See....it's that torch that is always lit and passed on from person to person to carry on this light of encouragement. No matter your status in society. Hollywood celebs, local celebs, world wide celebs, or just everyday people like you and me. Keep in mind....we all start somewhere and with faith, a lot of blood sweat and tears....we all end up somewhere better than where we were.
Peeps my Silver lining for today is this....no matter where I find myself in my Life ....I have been blessed with a voice to speak and share, opportunities to Dream Bigger than I can possibly fathom, and blessed to be surrounded by so many awesome people in my Life. Now the choice to use our voices and take advantage of the opportunities presented are totally up to us. To carry the torch of encouragement and pass it on...is a privilage never to be taken for granted.
