Good Morning Peeps!
This morning here in Nashville the temp is warmer with a little bit of rain on the side! Nothing about this wet stuff will damper the start of my morning...nope...in fact I woke up early and made it to Planet Fitness by 4:15 am to hit the machines and work out and continue towards my goal of getting back in shape.
Afterwards I came home feeling totally awake and excited that I achieved another day of sticking with my goal. First thing I did when I came in was to reward myself with my hot Hazelnut coffee. Still don't know why....but always after a workout at the gym my coffee always tastes even better than normal. Maybe it's because it is an appreciation of the taste because I had to wait for it or maybe it's because I drank a whole bottle of water first and it cleansed my pallet. Maybe even both. Who knows!
Funny how that seems to bring to the forefront of my mind at this very moment that sometimes we have to work very hard to reach a goal and there are times when there is a lot of waiting to before we even see any results. Still we keep moving forward diligently and with determination that we will eventually get there. In between the actions there are little things that pop up that will show us the progress....leaving us with an even greater appreciation for what we are trying to achieve and a reminder of all the hard work we put into whatever it is we are trying to achieve.
Peeps... I say this to you and to remind myself...The rocky road traveled and the hikes to reach the top of the mountain is not always easy. In fact it can be quite challenging. There will be times when the pot holes in the road will make it quite bumpy and the climb may be on a slippery slope, and there will be times when we have to stop and wait and find the direction to where we need to go. Hey...that is ok....because it is all part of the Journey we take while traveling the roads of Life. It's safe to say that with all this....at the end we will have a greater appreciation of all our achievements because of all the hard work and time it took to reach that final destination. So....meanwhile we reach for the little Silver Linings of Hope and enjoy the rewards we are blessed with along the way.
